A large part of owning miniature horses is sharing them. For many years we took the horses and carts to Camp Corazones. It was a week-long summer camp for children and their families who had been impacted by AIDS.
We would load the kids up and take them for rides. We had one little girl that stood up in the cart with her arms spread and shouted, “ I am on a horse”. She did that for everyone we passed.
The kids had all kinds of activities, swimming, archery, story time, arts and crafts, rockwall climbing, fishing and more. We always got to join them for lunch. And after lunch we would do it again.
