My name is Odie and I am an 8yr.old bay john mule with a few black spots on my rump and a few white specks here and there. My mom was an Appy. I am 15 hands and about 950lbs. I neck rein well, have a fantastic fast forward moving walk, an ok trot, and a smooth canter. I love attention, love my ears rubbed and my butt scratched, and would loved to be brushed all day long! I hobble and high-line, no problems with my feet and trailer well. I have been ridden with britchen and a crouper. I love the woods and the mountains and can really cover some ground. I think I would be a great competitive endurance mule. I am like the energizer bunny, could go all day long. I have some experience with cows too. I do get spooked when those darn ducks and birds come out from behind a tree or out of the water and I didn't see them first! I just cruise along the mountains and forests looking for deer and elk with my long ears flopping in enjoyment. I cross water, will walk or jump over all sizes of logs and dead fall, climb up steep rocky slopes and come down them with ease. I am very surefooted, after all I am a MULE! My human is selling me cause I am a little too much for her on the trail, like I said I like to go and cover some territory! Very gentle, 24YO Registered Arab Mare, Dark Bay, Bask bloodlines, free to good home. I hate to part with her, but I have a child to send to college. This mare has shown English Pleasure, Western Pleasure and Dressage, she has even fox-hunted. She would be an ideal pasture pal, an occasional walk-on-the-trail-horse, or a therapy horse. She is a geriatric horse, so walking and occasional trotting is all she should be asked to do. She has been used to teach children to ride in the past, and she really enjoyed that: She loves kids and is very gentle with them. He is an elegant sturdy horse who can carry weight and has excellent conformation with no flaws. I have used him for trail riding and have ridden him in the ring, but he is still green and I don't ride that often so he needs someone who will continue his training. He has a lovely disposition, loves people, comes right up to you in the field, stands for the farrier, is excellent to work around in the stall or when grooming, trailers fine and is an easy keeper. I hate to sell him, but he should be with someone who will realize his potential and who will give him some work to do. He has always been sound, has never had any sickness or injuries and is turned out with other horses all the time. click here click here Hickory Jae Sun, 4 year old dun son of Mr. Sun O Lena, the only AQHA Champion son of Doc O Lena. "Hank" was raised by Frank Perkins, the owner of Mr Sun O Lena. He is a grandson of Doc O Lena on top and Doc's Hickory on the bottom. We bought him as a 2 year old and paid $6,000 for him. We intended to stand him at stud but did not like his first foal crop so we gelded him in April and started riding him. We have taken him to the local gymkhanas and to a working cow-horse clinic at Armstrong Equine. Hank definitely showed some interest in the cattle. He has a good handle and is coming along nicely in his training. Recently, we noticed him not being himself and took him to our vet. Upon x-raying him, she found that he has some arthritis in his hocks. She said the condition is managable, but we have decided to try to sell him as we have too many horses and need to eliminate some anyway. Palomino Overo Bred Miniature mare for sale in NM I have a palomino overo mare for sale. Thelma is measured at just a tad under 38" tall. She's bred to my little 30.5" stud and due in about a month. So your getting a 2 for 1 deal!! She's been a pinto producer in 75% of her foals when bred to a solid stud. She's a quiet mare, easy to clip, bathe, and trim feet. I was told when I bought her that she was broke to ride but I've never had a saddle on her. Never had a cart big enough to drive her with, but I have ground driven her some. She's got one blue eye. IN the winter she gets to light she looks totally white, but in the summer her yellow darkens up enough you can see her pinto markings along with her blaze. She's just honestly a sweet little mare, I love her to death, but she's a tad too tall for my program, and needs a home that will treat her with love, and maybe give her a kid to pet on her. She hasn't shown any bad habits the 4 years I've had her. She's always been alpha mare here, but has never kicked or bitten anyone, general backed ears gets the point across. I have an incredible 6 year old registered APHA Appendix mare for sale to the RIGHT person. I did extensive ground work with her as a young three year old and then sent her to training for five months because I knew she was really nice and I didn't want to do anything wrong. Blue and Jeanne Allen of Alamosa trained her for almost five months and I brought her home for my 14 year old to continue working with as a serious competition horse. She had been competing on a 18 yo Missouri Fox Trotter and then a 16 year old and although they were good and my daughter has dozens of ribbons they were getting too old to really put her in top competition. So the mare came home and my daughter worked with her that one summer and then totally lost interest in horses and got into boys. The horse stood around for two years and I have a great trainer tuning her up and she's doing great and ready to go. (He would like to buy her but can't afford her.) He's working with her on barrels, trail, swinging a rope, etc., and she had some experience with cattle when in Alamosa. She is very fast (although she has a good stop) and could really take a barrel racing competitor to the top. The trainer says when she comes around a barrel she kicks out so powerfully that she really jumps out from under you and you have to be a good rider to handle what she can potentially give. This horse, on the Dam's side, has Bold Ruler three generations back, War Admiral twice (sired by Man O War), and many other greats. On the Sire's side there is Coaster, Wimpy, and Plaudit, some of the great basic foundation horses. This horse is gorgeous and sweet, stands well for the farrier, etc. I am asking $5000 for her and that is firm and she will only be sold to the right person who will use her. I love this horse, wanted to see my daughter compete on her, and can't stand to sell her but I'm not going to watch her stand in her corral unused again. This horse is a gorgeous animal with wonderful conformation, fine legs, medium build, a long, snakey neck and lovely head. He is one of the kindest, most affectionate Thoroughbreds that I have ever seen or owned. He loves everyone, is first at the gate when you go to bring your horses in and follows you around like a puppy. I have never known him to buck and he has always been a gentleman when I have ridden him. I started him out in Dressage and he is nice to ride in the ring with long floating gaits and good collection.
