Beautiful 16h Flea Bitten colored grey mare. She came to me with alot of trust issues. She has become very social. Gets along well with other horses. Is JC registered and was once a racehorse and for the last few years, has been a brrodmare. I have worked with her extensively to get her to a comfortable mental state. I have spent alot of money on vet bills to get thorough knowledge on her health. She is an amazing easy keeper for being a TB. Gets shod regularly. Is UTD on shots and wormers. Coggins neg. Sand cleared regualary. Per the vet checks she has had, she does have a bowed tendon on her back right leg which I have treated with cold wraps and had to shock treatments done (they are quite expensive). She gets turned out with other horses to remain social and not be confined to her stall all the time. I take her out and do extensive groom and handling sessions with her. At best, I have been told she could be ridden at a walk in soft footing for short amounts of time. Since she was a brrodmare and had her last foal in April 2011, my vet did an ultrasound on her. She discovered unterine cysts and her chance of getting in foal again are 50/50. If it were not for the fact that I have a barn full of horses who need training plus my my lesson program and the day to day operations of my stable, I would not get rid of her. She is a doll and deserves a wonderful and patient forever person who will dote and love on her everyday. Yes, she is a horse with issues, but she is not a throw away. There is someone out there who will give the love and quality of life she deserves. It breaks my heart to lack in time to bring her to her full trust potential. As for her price, that isn't even a tiny amount of what I put out on vet bills and a trainer and all her intial upkeep to bring her back from the way she came to me and it isn't about the money (As I paid much more for her) but I will not give her away and have the possibly of someone with ill intentions get her. This is her "rehoming fee". If someone has the means and time and love to take her, they will be able to pay her sale amount. In my eyes, she is priceless; a sweet wise soul just needing that special someone who will love her unconditionally. A companion horse and babysitter for other horses is what she does best as her job but what she puts out in love can't be compared. Serious inquiries only.
