We currently have room for rough boarding of one or two geldings on our country property in southeast Wisconsin. Situated three miles from I-94 near Lake Mills with easy access to Madison, and the surrounding areas. We feed grain, and check the water 3 times daily. Along with our hay field and indoor storage for providing hay during the winter months,throughout summer the horses have a grazing pasture with a alfalfa, fescue, clover mixture.We also provide an electric 5 foot high x 68ft outdoor training roundpen in the enclosed pasture area. Year round there is access to a 128ft by 70ft outdoor paddock, and a large walk in indoor stall measuring 20ft by 24ft.. This stall can be closed if the weather requires it. There is also an indoor 12ft by 10ft box stall which is convertible to a 12ft by 20ft. The only other horse on the property is our 14 hand mare. Breezewood Farm owned and operated by Peter and Lisa Heck since 1988 We have both pasture and stall boarding. Our stalls are $245 a month, hay and grain twice daily. The horses are out all day weather permitting, and most are out all night also. They come in for their grain and then back out for their hay. It is the owner's option whether they are in at night or not.Our pasture board is $175 a month, and they are also grained and hayed twice a day. They have a lean to for shelter. We are a full facility stable, but an older one...30+ years. Nothing fancy. We have an indoor arena (60x120), large outdoor (150x250) and private wooded trails on our land. We have a wash stall with hot and cold water, heated viewing lounge, tack room and round pen. It is never over crowded, only 10 boarders at this time and most of them are once or twice a week riders. All adults at this time. We have a lot of our own horses as I used to have a huge lesson/camp/trail ride business. We do not charge extra for feeding your supplements if you have any, or for turn out, or for holding for the vet or shoer. Mares and geldings get turned out together (pastures are big, even when closed off for winter.) We do not allow hind shoes in pastures. We do have some private turn outs if a horse has to have hind shoes. I am a certified vet tech, with all my work experience being with horses. Currently I am not working off the property. My husband is heavily involved in the business as well. We do not have any days that we are closed, and do not have any set hours. This is a small barn and has a real family feel. We are not a "show"
barn.
