ONE-WAY HAUL FROM OREGON TO NEW MEXICO. Are you trying to move a couple horses EAST? I am trying to get a two-horse trailer from REDMOND, OR to as close to NM as possible.
If the right circumstance arises with the right persons...this may work. Prefer to do this before September. Please call Lia 505.934.1984 or email Albuquirkynm@yahoo.com 5/23/08

I found this on Craigslist this morning. Do you have any contacts close to Astoria that can check this out? mcoleman@ido.net

Hi, I recently became aware of a pasture in warrenton oregon with between 70 and 80 horses. there are 2 dead decaying horses in the pasture as well as alot of horse bones from already decayed horses. all of the horses are very underweight. some do not have any hair due to severe rain rot. there is a few mules in the pasture as well that can barely walk because their hooves are so long. also if any body has any hay or feed please feed them. they are starving! the address of the pasture is 89729 Youngs River Road Warrenton OR. Nobody lives there.
i have contacted channel 12 news, with no response. channel 6 news listened to what i had to say and said they didnt know what they could do. COME ON PEOPLE!! ANIMAL CRUELTY IS A CRIME!! lets get this story out and get them the help they need!
The warrenton police were called. the officer that came out noted that there was no hay or feed for the animals. he also stated that " he is trained to deal with bad guys, not bad horse owners".i then contacted local animal controll, who said they do not do anything for livestock. · Location: WARRENTON · it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests PostingID: 658010979 4/28/08

Hello my name is Rosey Sramek and I am looking for a job working with horses this summer within driving distance of my house (West-Linn). Preferably teaching. I am currently in my Junior year of a degree in equine science: teacher/trainer and minoring in biology. This past year I have been studying abroad at Hartpury college in Gloucester, England taking courses in sport horse lameness, Performance and conditioning classes, theory of equation and teaching, nutrition and equine business management. Also I have been taking my British horse society Exams, I currently hold my stage 2 riding and horse care and am scheduled to take my stage 3 and preliminary teaching test in June just before I return to Portland. I have 4 years teaching experience, member of pony club for 5 years, 10 4-H . I am confident rider both on flat and over fences with primary an Eventing background but have also rode jumpers, Dressage and some hunters. Have experience riding green and problem horses Confident teaching beginner- advanced intermediate riders both children and adults. Have done some Stud farm work and am comfortable handling mares and foals and working around stallions. Would prefer teaching job but open to anything to be working with horses: Grooming, Schooling horses, competition, barn management, educational un-mounted lessons, stud farm work. Summer camps would be ideal! Available from June 15-September Rsramek@lec.edu 5/15/07
