Miniature and full size horse farm in Ashland. Natural Horsemanship based, VERY private, horse facility will take 2-6 boarders in 2008. Indoor and outdoor arenas with rubber footing. Also 60' round pen and about 3 acres of woods plus field area to ride in the open. Will be building a "play" area over the summer. We practice Parelli and would like to see like minded boarders. Board starts at $350 a month, which includes feed, hay, turnout, deworming and one farrier trim approx. every 8 weeks. Stalls are approx. 10'X12' and matted, insulated stable and arena, wash bays, tack storage area, etc. Larger or a double stall are also available at additional costs. And individual turnout available if at additional costs.. Looking for long term, adult boarders who are serious about natural horsemanship and appreciate the appreciate the privacy and camaraderie of fellow natural horsemanship boarders.. Miniature horse board is $150 a month for 34" and under. $175 for "B" size. We also will accept miniature donkeys if jennies or gelded jacks. Aged horses or those with special needs will be considered also per individual case, but no bad behaviors or vices please! NO STALLIONS, full or miniature. 4 miles west of the downtown main street of City of Ashland and easy access from I-71 and exit 250. Only a couple of miles east of Olivesburg. About 11 miles from this side of Shiloh. 20 or less to Mansfield and 22-24 to Wooster. Board can be exchanged in part for stall cleaning, depending on your availability. If you are a trainer or riding instructor looking to work out of our stable and bring clients, will exchange arena use for 1-2 lessons or training of our horses. Trainers must provide the additional insurance required with this option. Will also work with miniature horse trainer. We have a blacktop drive over 1,000' long if your into driving. Our farm is owned and operated by a mature and dependable horse person. No PAID employees, on exchange for board, since we are a private farm. And you must be available by phone, 24/7 in case of an emergency or problem. PRICES CAN AND LIKELY WILL GO UP FOR WINTER, DUE TO RISING COSTS OF HAY, FEED, UTILITIES, ETC. $350 is based on current, summer costs. NO short terms boarders. We do not allow visitors. Board is for the horse owner only. Trainers or riding instructors ok, if they are insured and pre-approved. We do background checks on boarders, so please don't waste our or you time if any of this will not work. Again, trying to keep a very private, non commercial environment. Danielle Fitzgerald, who was brought to us from Fort Lauderdale Fl, is a certified horse trainer in the method of Conditioned Response training. Her training is based SOLELY on natural animal behavior, as she focuses on gaining a horses respect and then trust. Danielle has an expansive history with horse behavior and has worked with all types of “issues” that horse owners can come across. Whether it be spooking, biting, kicking, dominance, buddy-sour, barn-sour, food and people aggression, leading problems, tacking and un-tacking issues, getting soft on the bit and in the halter, working with stiffness, starting horses, or any other undesirable tendencies a horse may have, we can work with it!

The indoor arena is 65’ X 150’ with sand footing and includes a 40’ round pen for ground work. The outdoor arena is 110’ X 250’ with sand footing and has lighting for evening riding. The stalls are 12’ X 12’ and 12’4” X 12’4”. Every stall has rubber mats and is bedding in pine shavings. Stalls are cleaned daily. Daily turnout. The highest quality of hay and grain is fed (the owner has a master’s degree in equine nutrition). The wash rack has hot and cold water and the heated tack room has a bathroom, refrigerator, and toll free phone. A small jump course, trail course, automated cutting cow, barrels, and poles are provided for your enjoyment. Both stall board and pasture board are offered, but no partial board. Lessons are available in western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship, equitation, barrel racing, and beginning reining and cutting. Lessons are available for all ages, from beginners to advanced. Instructor has won state titles in all events but the last two and has won national titles in barrel racing. Natural horsemanship lessons are also available and instructor has had direct training from Clinton Anderson and Lynn Palm and has participated in clinics with Richard Shrake, Clark Bradley, Martha Josey, Marlene Edelman McRae, and Talmadge Green. The Wilson Hill Stables, LLC facility offers 15 Classic Equine Stalls with Interlocking Rubber Mats and swing out feeders. We use the softest white pine sawdust to maximize comfort and minimizing the negative aspects of traditional shavings.
