Turkey Creek Cove Cabins & Horse Camp is secluded in a wooded cove in the Pisgah National Forest, high in the Great Smoky Mountains, just minutes from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Located 6 miles off I-40 between Asheville, NC, and Knoxville, TN, it is within visiting distance of Knoxville, Asheville, Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Resort, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, the Biltmore Estate, the Cherokee Indian Reservation with it's Harrah's Casino Complex, and much more. Although centrally located and easily accessible, Turkey Creek Cove Cabins & Horse Camp is serenely isolated from the noisy world outside. Come and enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains from the front porch of a cozy one-bedroom, one-bath, log cabin. All cabins sleep four with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sofa bed in the living area. Furthermore, they are fully furnished and fully equipped. There are two cabins available. The rent for a cabin is $100.00 night or $600.00 a week. Horses can enjoy our pastures for $10.00 a night per horse or $15.00 a night for a stall. We do not have campsites or hookups. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen w/ microwave, gas log fireplace, ceiling fans, linen and blankets provided, satellite TV, gas barbecue grill, telephone, and washer/dryer combo unit in each cabin. Cardinal Stables is dedicated to the Hunter and Jumper disciplines. With 20 years of experience, we have come to understand the correct and safe way to guide students though the learning experience to become experienced horsemen. Our facility offers 74 stalls, Hot Walker, separate Boarder Barn with boarder tack room and wash pit, indoor riding arena, outdoor riding arena, lounge,. Location: In the beautiful Nantahala Mountains area of the Great Smokies in Western NC 1 mile off Hwy 64, on the right on Carter Cove Road, next to Grace Baptist Church, across from Jenny's Alpaca Farm. 2 hours from Asheville, Atlanta or Chattanooga. Minutes away from miles of trail riding at its best at Fires Creek, Tusquitee Mt. or Standing Indian Basin. 5 minutes from town and tourist areas, great horse vacation area with many local activities & attractions.
