New York Horse Activities

From May 17, 2008January 4, 2009, the American Museum of Natural History will be showcasing an exhibition entitled The Horse, which reveals the fascinating story of the enduring bond between horses and humans and explores the origins of the horse family, which extends back more than 50 million years. Over the course of history we have preyed upon horses, domesticated them, and shaped them into the “animated machinery” that helped create the modern world. Highlights of the exhibition include a hand-painted diorama, spectacular fossils, cultural artifacts, interactive stations, and more. The whole family can come discover how we have shaped the horse, and how the horse, in turn, has shaped us. AMNH is asking Horse Talk - New York Horse Directory for its help in getting the word out to its constituency about this spectacular new exhibition by either displaying The Horse rack cards at your facility or by displaying a link to The Horse webpage on your website. Please let me know if you are interested. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (212)313-7216 or email me at fkanhayuwa@amnh.org. 6/8/08
