Laura Simpson of Albuquerque just called. She's had two nice TBs, 4 and
5 years old (not sure which is which), dropped off at her farm by her
"friend" on the track. They're nice horses, both sound. She
has no room for them, they're just in a pen with no shelter now, and they
need homes. Several horses from this track owner have gone on to have
great careers with amateur and kid eventers. They are:
Gelding, about 16h, by Inaccessible. Mare, taller than 16, uphill build.
She's been stall-walking at the track but isn't looney. Laura rode both
in the big arena. No buck, they both took both leads, and had good instincts
trotting over an X. They're not runaways or in need of letdown. She is
willing to let someone try either for a month if that's better for the
buyer. Asking $1K each, nego. ("they should be $2500 right now but

due to illness i have to sell my registered 4 gaited 17 yr old icelandic
gelding.he is a fast mover,very gentle,surefooted.i ride him in a synthetic
big horn western saddle with wide tree as he's a very stout well muscled
guy.i have had him for ten years and ridden him in mountains,on ditchroads
and through water.his only problem is to find somebody to ride with ,
as he will be at a walk and your "regular"horse has to jog trot
or trot just to keep up.he's about 13.3 or 14 hands tall.weighs around
900 lbs and has carried me(around 190 lbs)over long rides without any
problem.i use a little tom thumb snaffle bit and ride him mostly on a
long rein.

and two hind socks. She is an excellent combination of the two breeds
with the looks of the baroque friesian and the refinement and athleticism

FOR SALE (10/28/09): Thoroughbred gelding, 4 yr. old, registered with the Jockey Club. Chestnut. 16.2 + hands. Paco Diablo was raced one time as a three year old and brought back home because he did not seem interested in racing and training. At home, he was exposed to dogs, cats, goats, children, etc. and is fine with it all. After several months, he was sent back into training and unfortunately for us, this horse just doesn’t want to be a race horse. He likes to work but he is not fast enough. He loads and unloads easily, stands tied, stands for the farrier, enjoys being groomed. He has excellent ground manners and really likes people and attention. He is easy to handle. He will make some lucky person a wonderful riding partner with a little work. He has the looks if you are interested in the show ring and would probably be well-suited to jumping. Harley Rodeo is an 8 year registered Quarter Horse gelding. He
has been roped off of for one summer but is not a finished head
horse. He is quiet in the box, tracks trails and will watch a cow.
Harley is an excellent trail horse and has been in the mountains
and in the wide open country. Harley has no vices and will stand
for the farrier, load in a trailer and has good ground manners.
I have had Harley since his birth in 2001 and regret having to sell
him. Harley will ride, bareback, two person, has had kids on him
and is generally an all around horse. Currently I do not have the
time to ride him so I am looking for someone who is willing to care

This particular horse is a registered Irish draught. Used as an eventer
and an accomplished dressage horse. He came from TX originally. He has
a minor "hip thing" going on, but is not lame...over 17 hands
grey.7 or 8 I have to look at his papers. He has had over $100,000 in
training and was previously insured at +$25,000.00 the original owner
was a college girl and he was too much horse. The price is only the cost
of transport. I am tired of feeding him. He is good on trails and is just
a big powerful strong horse.....I'll deliver him for the cost of fuel....or
he's going to end up in a hole. I have to get him a home. NO lameness.
I rode him a couple of times and the sucker can jump 6 feet of ditch from

“Easy Does It” is for sale! Easy is a 9 year old Appendix gelding who is talented and gentle. He’s 16.1, has great conformation, and is very athletic. He would be a perfect hunter and/or jumper for an intermediate rider. Easy showed in short stirrups, the Green and Low Childrens Hunters, 15-17 equitation, and he did very well in the national Children’s Hunter Classic at the Sandia Classics.
