Massachusetts Sale Horses

HALF-LEASE my black Percheron Gelding riding horse – super safe and comfortable to ride. He be ridden English, Western (does not neck rein) and especially bareback is his favorite with just a halter and leads. Very sweet and flashy 5 year old that is all black with white star, blaze and snip and one white stocking on hind pastern. He is 17.2 so fills out a long legged rider perfectly but rides like a warmblood and definitely gets noticed everywhere we go. He is not a push button horse yet but a fast learner. Loves to trail ride too – safe on roads and used to cars, dogs, goats, cats, ATVs, goes over and through water, logs - you name it. He can lead on the trail, be a middle man or bring up the rear. Never spooks and runs off just looks and then keeps on moving. He would stay boarded at the farm in Charlton, MA that he is boarded at but there is a HUGE 100 x 300 outdoor sand ring to ride in all year round (full sun all winter keeps it nice). Trails off the property, just a couple of houses down that lead to local park land associated with the barn. There are other trail riders in the barn and all types of disciplines. Price is negotiable depending on amount of usage wanted and riding experience. Not for a very beginner because he has a wonderful soft mouth and I want to keep it that way. I am sure you can understand. His barn name is “Black” (came with it and comes to it) but officially named “Poseidon” (not registered I don’t have his papers). He loves attention and will be a great horse to either trail or start showing in open pleasure classes which I plan on doing next season. He is a great project for someone that wants a horse to train and show without having to pay the full board. It was mentioned that he drives single and double when I purchased him but I do not have a harness or carriage to try it. Driving equestrians are welcome as well. If you are interested and would like to come and see him to try out please contact: Jackie at 508-728-8554. I am available weeknights or on Sunday afternoons. 10/11/08

Super Combined Training or Eventing Mount. 12 years old 14.2h Morgan cross. Bombproof. Great personality and very flashy. 3 BIG gorgeous gaits. Forward thinking. Solid training level dressage. Schooling first level. Forward thinking. Great on trails and road, hacks alone or in company. Has schooled XC. Has been jumped up to 3' could probably go higher with more schooling. Nice front end, very careful and bold. Great pony club mount prospect. Would also be great for petite adult. Needs as intermediate rider as he is a BIG mover.
