Idaho Horse ActivitiesExtreme trail ride benefit.
Members of the Wilson Butte 4-H club are planning an extreme cowboy trail ride October 10 as a benefit to assist Mike Dines and his fight with cancer. The event will be held at the Blackstock Ranch and the trail has plenty of skill testing obstacles for horse and riders. The difference from our spring trail rides, which is a leisurely 2 ½ hour ride. Bumps up the pace to an Extreme trail course. The course is short and riders are individually timed. Challenges will include a donkey, goat, bridge, water crossings, jumps, cows, deer, and some on the edge obstacles. There will be 2 divisions for Cowboys & Cowgirls and the riders with the shortest time will win the buckles. Time penalties will be added for refusals. Mike has supported us every year and now its time to help him. 4-H groups
& friends are offering to assist where needed. There will be raffle
items. A Horseshoe toss and a jackpot for another
chance at the trail! We ask all horse owners to donate money of a shoeing
for the track race. The highest amount of dollars will take
the lead to the finish line and a prize. There will be games for the 13
& under group with trophies and ribbons. We hope for a great day and
ask you to join us to support a 4-H family. Donations excepted, concessions
available and for more information call 896-4512 or 467-4250 9/28/09
