Professional equine photographer, Carien Schippers, announces that the 2010 edition of her popular Horse Drive Calendar is now available. This large format full color calendar is full of 62 exciting photos to be enjoyed all year long. The calendar photos document the largest horse drive in the world, the Great American Horse Drive that takes place annually in Northwest Colorado. This drive is put on by Sombrero Ranches and covers approximately 50 miles with 600 horses. Guest wranglers and local cowboys all participate in moving the horses from Brown’s Park to Craig Colorado over two days in late April, an event that has been going on for almost 50 years.
